The most anticipated movies of 2019: Part II

The first half of 2019 has some great films lined up and moviegoers will find that tempting. Every major Hollywood studio has something for fans; however, the story doesn’t end here. The second half of 2019 will also see a few big films releasing. We hope that after a great 2018, 2019 also gives fans much to rejoice. Here again, we give you one movie for each month of the second half of 2019.

July – September
July: The seventh month of the year will be a big event month as Untitled Annabelle film, Spider-Man: Far From Home and the Lion King will be releasing with a few other movies. In our opinion this month belongs to The Lion King. The movie is being directed by John Favreau who earlier helmed The Jungle Book. The Lion King will be released on 19th July. It is a remake of the original animated movie The Lion King which came out in 1994. After the success of The Jungle Book, Disney decided to go ahead with the realistic computer animated retelling of The Lion King. Donald Gover will be voicing as Simba while Seth Rogen will voice as Pumbaa. The screenplay of The Lion King has been written by Jeff Nathanson.

August: August will see The New Mutants, Fast & Furious spinoff “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw” and Angel Has Fallen among others to woo movie-goers. Hobbs & Shaw is our pick of the August as Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will be returning as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw from the previous Fast & Furious films. Idris Elba will be playing the villain’s role as Brixton in the movie. It is being directed by the Deadpool 2 director David Leitch. The film has written by Chris Morgan. Hobbs & Shaw will release on 2nd August.

September: It – Chapter Two is coming in September and we don’t need to think of any other movie for this month. It is a sequel to the 2017 movie It which was a big hit. This part is too being adapted from the Stephen King novel It which came out in 1986. The film is based twenty-seven years after the events of the first film. It – Chapter Two stars James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan and Bill Hader in pivotal roles. It is being directed by Andy Muschietti while the screenplay has been written by Gary Dauberman. It – Chapter Two will be releasing on 6th September.

October – December
October: 2019 will be the year of the movies based on the comic-book characters. Movies based on both Marvel and DC will be releasing this year. In October we will see Joker. Though this movie is based on DC Comics, it is not in the DCEU the DC shared universe. Joker will show how a standup comedian changes into a criminal. The lead role will be played by Joaquin Phoenix. Robert De Niro will also be playing an important role in the movie. Joker is being directed by Todd Phillips. The screenplay has been written by the director and Scott Silver. Joker will be releasing on 4th October.

November: November is giving us a hard time in choosing one movie as Terminator 6, Charlie’s Angels and Kingsman: The Great Game will be releasing in the penultimate month of the year. We had our doubts; however, at the end, we came up with one choice and that is Terminator 6. Terminator franchise has seen a lot of action and lately, the franchise is in news for the wrong reasons. Movies were being finalized just for the sake of creating them. Now James Cameron, director of the most loved Terminator movie Terminator 2: Judgement Day is on board as producer, there is hope that this movie will quench the thirst of the fans. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back again. Terminator 6 will also see Linda Hamilton reprising her role as Sarah Connor. Terminator 6 is being directed by Deadpool director Tim Miller while screenplay has written by David S. Goyer. It will be released on 1st November.

December: A movie from Star Wars franchise is releasing in December and there is no way we can dare to choose any other movie from this month. Star Wars: Episode IX will be the final instalment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. It is the ninth film of the Star Wars series. Colin Trevorrow was to direct the film; however, due to creative differences he left the movie and was replaced by J. J. Abrams. J. J. Abrams had earlier directed The Force Awakens which was a great success. Daisy Ridley will be returning as Rey. John Boyega will reprise his role as Finn. It has been written by J. J. Abrams and Chris Terrio. It will be releasing on 20th December.

These are our picks for the second half of 2019. Please let us know your suggestions and keep coming back for more.
